To reserve an apartment at Altitude at Taringa Apartments, prospective tenants must proceed in the following order:

  1. Make your Choice
    Please decide on the type of apartment that is best suited to you. You may be shown the apartment or may view it from the website. If your preferred apartment is not available, please consider taking an alternative unit or sharing as Altitude residents have priority at the next allocation for your second semester at Altitude.
  2. Availability/ Application
    The first step is to note availability on the Vacancies page. Secondly submit a Reservation Enquiry Form on the next page.
  3. Allocation
    We will advise you by return e-mail of your allocated apartment and the payment required to secure your reservation. You will then need to confirm the booking by paying the Deposit & Bond as detailed under 5. Confirmation/ Payment. If you are unsuccessful, we will advise you and keep your application on file for the current semester and hopefully be able to allocate you an apartment even if not your first choice.
  4. Forms
    Rentals come under the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) and both tenant and landlord have certain obligations to adhere to. You will later complete a Lease (Form 18a) and Bond Lodgement (Form 2)which will be e-mailed to you to be signed & returned to us by post. To familiarize yourself with these forms, which you accept as part of your Lease, please download here:
  5. Confirmation / Payment
    The bond (which is equivalent to four (4) weeks rent) together with one (1) months rent, must be sent by bank transfer to Tioman Holdings Pty. Ltd. Trust Account, National Australia Bank, BSB 084 263, Account 578 169 451. Your booking is only confirmed once payment has been received.

Further information:

  • Power is at the tenants expense and is paid to Altitude on a weekly or monthly basis. Gas provides hot water & this will also be billed by Altitude.
  • Phones are available to each bedroom. Your calls will be billed monthly at competitive rates and are payable at Reception. Please note that modem connections to the internet are not permitted on the phone lines.
  • Internet - Broadband internet connection is included (base plan) in your rent. Network connections are available in every bedroom at each desk. The network provides permanent Internet connection with four optional upgrade plans from an additional A$20.00 to A$78.00 per month depending upon the data volumes required. An Ethernet network card and UTP patch lead will be required to allow you to connect to the network.
